Back to School with EdTech!

This will be year 11 in the classroom for me and year 15 in my building (I was our school nurse for 4 years prior to teaching!)
Last year, I signed up to do my first presentation at the KACTE Summer Conference in Louisville. If you aren't a CTE teacher, then you may not know this is the conference at which we Career & Technical Education teachers gear up for the upcoming schoolyear. For me, it was a springboard to many (probably too many) ideas. I shared a lot of edtech ideas with my fellow teachers but it made me think: could I be doing more with my knowledge or creativity? My EdTech Presentation links are below!
So like any crazy, ADHD-riddled, middle-aged woman, I decided to get on TikTok, try to gain a following, and start a TikTok shop. Then I started an Etsy Shop. Then I set up a store on Shopify. Who knows why I thought that was a good time to try to do all of that - it definitely wasn't BUT I also know that if we wait until the timing is right to do certain things we want to do, they may never happen!
So I am coming up on a year of the GIANT LEARNING CURVE that is the entrepreneural world of e-commerce. But I've decided that this journey is not unlike teaching...teaching is a non-stop learning curve the first couple of years and as soon as you get good at doing things a certain way, something changes and requires you to adjust or learn a new technique or way of doing things. This shop experience has been the same way! If you have any merch needs, let me know!!
In my shop, I have several HOSA items and love to do custom designs for your HOSA Chapters, school teams, etc. My designs are mostly direct-to-garment (like screen-print), but the mocknecks are direct-to-film iron on! I am working on expanding my embroidered products, too!
